Peas & carrots or oil & vinegar--can two similar personalities match?
Friday, January 27, 2006

So I've really been getting into this blogging thing on MySpace (which is probably evident by my countless posts). I've read more than a handful of blogs and there's a lot of talented writers out there -- especially the ladies. Some of these gals really have me laughing. Their writing and wit showcases the intelligence I've always sought in a woman but never came across (which solidifies the theory that the only girls willing to sleep with me are very, very dumb).

I am absolutely truly and deeply impressed with the talent of some of these writers. Authors so good, they I would be willing to carry their baby if any of those gals asked me. But I got to wondering...could two writers successfully have a relationship? With each other? I know Stephen King's wife is an author (her books are right next to his at the local library), but she isn't any good. Writing is such an internal activity. Most writers don't write for fame, fortune, or their fans -- they do it for themselves (and the praise they get from readers). Could two writers date? I doubt it -- they simply wouldn't have time for each other. Writing is a tremendously time-consuming task and surely whatever a writer composes, he'd want his significant other to read. And I'm the same holds true for his female counterpart. With the time both parties spend reading and writing, how much verbal interaction would they actually have with each other? They'd probably spend more "dates" writing to each other than at some fancy French restaurant.

Hey...cut me a break -- it's like one in the morning and I'm really tired: I can’t give you brilliance every time.
