Because complaining about stuff shouldn't be limited to the elderly
Watching the Juice will make you turn sour (clever headline or really lame--you decide)
    Friday, November 17, 2006

So OJ is back in the news. This hypothetical confession is the most deplorable, despicable, disgusting thing I have ever seen (and I know a thing about despicable: you should see the women I date). The very thought of it makes me sick. Earlier this week I wrote about questioning the death penalty for Saddam. With scumbags like the Juice, I don't have that kinda doubt--off with your head!

When I first heard about his televised non-confession, I wondered what sorta station would be immoral and indecent enough to air that garbage (ah FOX...whaddya expect from the people who brought you "Temptation Island"). I'd like to think it was pitched to other stations and they had the dignity to pass. It seems irreprehensible to give that vermin a forum, attention, or even an opportunity to make any money. Maybe I'm just delusional, but part of me hopes that there's a shred of decency in our society and someone will recognize that this ratings bonanza isn't worth the price of your soul. Because it will be a hit--a guaranteed smash success. Who isn't going to watch? I gotta admit even with all my talk of virtue I'm tempted to tune it. Maybe I'm presuming too much, but this show will be right up there with the Superbowl as the highest rated program of the year.

Despite its sure-fire success, I hope there was some television people who realize that this show is garbage. It might be something the people want to see, but that doesn't make it right. Don't gimme that acquitted crap because everyone in America knows he did it (except those 12 idiots they call a jury). Besides, would an innocent man have a pseudo confession? I'm appalled by this tasteless publicity stunt. And what makes me even more disgusted is there are gonna be people rushing out to buy the book. How could anyone put money in this filth's pocket?

As I sit here rambling, I'm answering my own questions: there's no way I'm gonna watch. I'm not tuning in because I don't wanna be a part of it. It's wrong--very wrong on levels I can't even comprehend. I'm probably the last person anyone should turn to as a moral compass. But I can't watch that trash...doing so might be one of the most sinful things I've ever done (including pushing over infants and stealing bread from the elderly).

I've often wondered what things were like in the Simpson household. How do his kids treat him? Do they look past the fact he killed their mother? Or do they believe his lies? Children always wanna believe and trust their parents. But his kids are older and this book is too much: even they gotta start wondering and feel resentful. All I know is Thanksgiving at OJ's oughta be mighty interesting this year.

Ron and Nicole's murder coined a lot of catch phrases and memorable moments. One that people love to recall is OJ's search for the "real killer." Looks like the Juice finally found him. Tune in November 27th and 29th to see him unmasked. And all it will cost you is your soul.

    Disgusting.
