Are there thieves on the internet?
    Wednesday, April 19, 2006

I think someone just stole my blog title! Theres a chik who subscribes to my blog and gave her blog the subtitle my insane ramblings and nonsensical slurs. While I know shes had her blog before I did, theres no way to confirm whether or not she had that title before me (I just saw the subtitle and never noticed it before). I know this much--I came up with my title of iRANT long before she was a subscriber to my blog (and I to hers).

I dont ever like to accuse anyone of copying, but the similarities in her subtitle and my title are too coincidental. Maybe it is just a coincidence but four of the five words start with the same letter. Two of the five words are the same! Reflections and ramblings virtually means the same thing. Hell, I debated whether or not to use the words insane and ramblings once I was sure I wanted to name my blog iRANT.

Im a little disappointed. As a writer, Ive always made it a point to never even come close to stealing anyone elses work. I would think anyone else who writes feels the same way (even if it is something as silly as a title). I never thought anything I put up here is even good enough to steal (if thats the case). I dont wanna make any rash decisions, but Im very tempted to pull everything Ive wrote and stop posting a blog. Its the internet with free speech and all that junk--but this is a real eye-opener. Maybe its just a coincidence (I can live with that), but I dont want people ripping me off.
